Last Friday, my colleague Justine Lister and I had a very relaxed interview with the lovely Leigh Chambers of Cambridge 105 Radio to flag up our forthcoming workshop on memoir writing. Justine, who until recently was a secondary school librarian and an English teacher, has now gone freelance and is following her dream of inspiring a love of books and reading in both children and adults. She has set up her own website at readwriteignite.com where she offers a range of services including one to one after school tutoring. She’s also kindly invited me to join her in running creative writing classes and workshops and I am very much looking forward to developing this part of her work with her. We want to make these classes and workshops fun and inclusive and welcome all comers, from beginner writers to the more experienced. We aim to be inclusive, friendly and non-threatening while helping attendees to develop their writing skills and find their own voices.
