Code of Honour’, the final book in the ‘Soldier Spy’ trilogy, is now out!

It’s been quite a task to research and write these three books within a limited timescale but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

Set during the Napoleonic Wars, the stories follow the progress of disgraced soldier, Captain Will Fraser and his wounded Sergeant, Duncan Armstrong, as they reinvent themselves as undercover agents for the British Government.

As they dive deeper into the murky world of spying, nothing is what it seems and as they work to uncover a traitor (In ‘Traitor’s Game’) and rescue betrayed royalists from the clutches of Napoleon’s brutal Chief of Police (in ‘The King’s Agent) there are many plot twists, unlikely spies, pursuits, betrayals and near misses. And running through all the stories is the mystery surrounding Will’s dismissal from his regiment – which he refuses to discuss.

In this final book (‘Code of Honour’) Will and Armstrong are asked to support military operations in the Peninsular. The French are using a new code which is proving impossible to decipher. Will and Armstrong must work with Spanish guerrillas to intercept messages between French Commanders and pass them to Wellington’s codebreakers; a mission fraught with danger.  But it is here that Will’s troubled past finally catches up with him. In Portugal, four years ago, he lied to protect the woman he loved. Now he must tell the truth to save himself.

“A first-rate historical thriller, full of period detail, fascinating characters, unexpected twists, mystery, intrigue and action”. Peter Tonkin.
